US Youth Soccer

Welcome to the California Youth Soccer Association (Cal North) Data Management System (DMS) and Online Registration Module for 2014-2015 ODP TRY-OUTS.

The Olympic Development Program is a national process for identifying and developing the best youth soccer players.  The process promotes players to the U.S. National Teams, which represent the United States in international competition, such as the Youth World Cup and the Olympics. The main ODP objective is to identify, evaluate and train highly talented male and female youth soccer players.  As part of this national effort, Cal North ODP is dedicated to developing the highest level of youth soccer.  This objective must be achieved in an atmosphere of integrity, fairness and impartiality.  The player's physical and cognitive skills and attitude must be the only criteria for the program.  The procedure to achieve this objective must be approved by the Cal North Board of Directors and must not conflict with any US Youth Soccer or United States Soccer Federation (USSF) policies.
The secondary objectives are to:
  • Evaluate and select players in each ODP age group for a State pool of players from which State players are selected.
  • Advance the soccer skills of players in each ODP age group.
  • Provide competitions for State Teams in each ODP age group.
ODP participation does not mean that players do not participate on their club team.  ODP participation, at any level, is concurrent with club team participation.  The advantages often outweigh any conflicts this might pose. All players are placed in pools by their birth year as opposed to the age groupings for league or club teams.
Try-Outs for the 2014-2015 State ODP pools are as follows:
Any player trying out must meet the birth year criteria, and can only try-out for the group of their birth year (calendar year, not soccer age year). Birth years for the 2014-2015 ODP season for both Boys and Girls are:

All players who are going to tryout and participate on a State ODP pool MUST register online at this site.
Location:   Mistlin Sports Park, 1201 W. River Rd. Ripon, CA 95366
TRY-OUT Dates:
  • Sunday, September 14: Girls
  • Sunday, September 21: Boys
  • Sunday, October 12: Girls
  • Sunday, October 19: Boys
  • Sunday, November 2: Girls
  • Sunday, November 9: Boys
It is up to each player to attend all or as many sessions as they can. Every player must attend at least one session to be considered and rostered to the pool. It is the responsibility of the player to check for potential conflict in advance.  If you wait until the last session to attend, you risk illness, injury or a club team conflict that could eliminate your opportunity. Try-outs will not be extended past the last published dates, so plan carefully!
Try-Out session times and specific field assignments will be posted on the Cal North website by August 29th.
Please read the ODP Try-Out Information carefully before you begin.
